A machine vision system is usually several products wired together: a camera, a lens, lighting, an industrial PC to run the analysis, and inspection software on top. Each piece is specced, bought, and supported separately, and every new station means doing it all again.

Roboflow AI1 (opens in a new tab) puts it all in one IP54 housing: an 8 MP sensor (3840 x 2160 at 30 fps) with a 4 mm lens and electronic focus, an integrated 8-LED ring light, and an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX that runs the model on the camera itself. Mount it at the station and use it for defect detection, assembly verification, and automated optical inspection.

Label images of good and bad parts from your line, train a model such as RF-DETR in Roboflow, and push it to every AI1 from Roboflow Deployment Manager in one update. Each part gets a structured inspection record, stored on the camera and synced to the cloud, and your team can retrain as parts and conditions change.
