AI Cameras Built for the Factory Floor

Roboflow AI1 is an industrial camera with an NVIDIA Jetson inside. One camera handles quality inspection, assembly checks, safety monitoring, and process tracking, and sends every result to the systems your plant already runs.

AI Cameras for Manufacturing AI Vision Solution

Manufacturers put AI cameras to work across the plant: quality control at the end of the line, assembly verification at each station, PPE detection and safety zone monitoring on the floor, and equipment monitoring to catch wear before it causes downtime. The camera that does those jobs needs industrial-grade imaging, its own compute, and a direct line to your PLCs and MES.

Roboflow AI1 (opens in a new tab) is that camera: an 8 MP sensor (3840 x 2160 at 30 fps) with a 4 mm lens and electronic focus, an integrated 8-LED ring light, and an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX in an IP54 housing. It runs models on the camera, talks to Rockwell and Siemens PLCs in their own protocols, and stores a structured record of every decision. The same hardware runs any of these jobs, so you standardize on one camera and change only the model.

  • Featured: Roboflow AI1 (AI1-8MP-4MM): 8 MP sensor, 4 mm lens with electronic focus, NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX 8 GB, IP54 housing
  • Attributes: On-device inference, integrated lighting, over-the-air model and security updates, 5 years of software support
  • Integration: OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus TCP, EtherNet/IP, and Profinet to your PLC, a web HMI for operators, and events to Ignition, MES, ERP, Power BI, or Slack

Label images from your own lines, train a model in Roboflow, and deploy it to every AI1 across every plant from Roboflow Deployment Manager. When a product changes or a new defect appears, retrain and push the update over the air without a site visit. Your team owns the models and the data.

Already have cameras in the plant? Roboflow Inference also runs models on GigE Vision and RTSP streams from the cameras you already have, so you can add AI to existing stations and put AI1 where you need a new one.

AI for Manufacturing Cameras Workflows

Use AI cameras in manufacturing? Explore Workflows you can get started with to create computer vision apps in minutes. Try the top open and closed source models on frames from your line for free, then deploy a Workflow to AI1 that inspects parts, watches safety zones, and sends results to your PLC in real time.

How to Setup AI Cameras for Manufacturing

AI1 mounts at the station and connects over Gigabit Ethernet. Train a model on images from your line in Roboflow, deploy it from Roboflow Deployment Manager, and AI1 runs it on-device, sending results to your PLC, HMI, or MES.

“The vision AI solutions we developed with Roboflow have been a core component of connecting our teams and unlocking their ability to collaborate.”
