Advantech builds industrial computers and edge AI hardware for factories, and the ICAM-540 (opens in a new tab) brings that into a single camera: an 8 MP Sony industrial sensor at 30 fps, an S-mount lens with fixed or variable focus options, built-in LED lighting, and an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX with 8 GB of memory. It connects over Gigabit Ethernet, runs on 19 to 24 V DC, and ships with NVIDIA DeepStream tools.

The hardware is half of a vision system. To catch defects or verify assemblies, the camera also needs a model trained on your parts, logic that turns detections into pass/fail decisions, a way to send those results to your PLC and MES, and a way to update every camera when the line changes.
