A quality inspection camera needs three things to work on a real line: a sharp, evenly lit image of every part, a model that knows your specific defects, and a way to act on the result before the part moves on. Lighting is often what makes or breaks AI quality control, because glare and shadows change from shift to shift.

Roboflow AI1 (opens in a new tab) builds all three into one IP54 unit: an 8 MP sensor (3840 x 2160 at 30 fps) with a 4 mm lens and electronic focus, an integrated 8-LED ring light for consistent images, and an NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX that runs the inspection model on the camera. Label images of good and bad parts from your own line, train a model such as RF-DETR (opens in a new tab) in Roboflow, and push it to every AI1 from Roboflow Deployment Manager. Every inspection is stored on the camera and synced to the cloud, so quality teams can trace any part back to its result. When a new defect shows up, add examples, retrain, and update every station at once.
