Claude 3 is a family of Large Language Models (LLMs) by Anthropic with vision capabilities. Provided in a chatbot format, Claude 3 models, at the time of release, were one of the highest ranking models in several LLM rankings and metrics, being able to reason, provide knowledge, solve problems, and write code at levels above OpenAI’s GPT-4 and Google’s Gemini 1.0 family of models.
Claude 3 comes in three versions: Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku. Opus is the largest and most capable, but also being the slowest and most expensive while Haiku was the fastest and most affordable, while having more limited capabilities, with Sonnet being a balance of the two models.

Claude Opus, compared to other wide-known models is slightly behind the industry as it is one of the worser models behind both Google, and Microsofts Gemini 1.5 Pro, and 4o models respectively. While its language metrics may be state of the art and rival even GPT4o, Opus still has a long way to go for its multimodal capabilities.

You can use Roboflow Inference to deploy a
Anthropic Claude 3
API on your hardware. You can deploy the model on CPU (i.e. Raspberry Pi, AI PCs) and GPU devices (i.e. NVIDIA Jetson, NVIDIA T4).
Below are instructions on how to deploy your own model API.
