We're announcing Roboflow Agent, a new way to build and deploy applications that see the world, understand what's happening, and take action.

Agent is an assistant designed specifically for computer vision, with access to everything you need to bring AI to the physical world. It recommends the right models for the job, designs workflows to turn those models into applications, and builds with the infrastructure you need to run them at scale.

The Agent for visual intelligence

Making visual intelligence accessible to the world is our mission. Many organizations already use it to solve tough challenges, like preventing defective products from reaching consumers, speeding up the discovery of new medicines, and changing how we play and watch sports.

But creating a vision app is complicated. You need to select the best models. You need a place to run those models. You need to write code that turns model predictions into something valuable. And you need everything else around the model, like alerts or custom databases. Plus, everything needs to comply with industry regulations or corporate policy. It's a lot for one person or team to get right.

We built Agent so everyone can turn their ideas into apps running in the real world.

Describe the outcome, and Agent builds it for you

Agent handles everything from start to finish. You describe what the system needs to see and do, and Agent picks the models, designs the pipeline, and gets it running wherever you need. That way, you can go from idea to solution faster and with less friction.

Imagine you have a problem that requires looking at something in the physical world and making a decision. Perhaps it's a manufacturing line where a missing component might result in a safety issue for your customers. Or maybe you want to watch the line and detect when the machinery is slowing down to predict maintenance needs and avoid unexpected downtime. With Agent, you explain the problem and the ideal outcome. It designs the system, tests it to make sure everything works, and helps you run it in the cloud or on your hardware.

Create enterprise-ready systems that improve over time

Agent does more than recommend models and design workflows; it optimizes the performance of your system so you get a solution that is reliable, cost-effective, improves over time, and runs on enterprise-ready components.

  • Get reliable results: Agent builds with state-of-the-art models, combines them into precise workflows, and can tune them on your data so the results are consistent and accurate.
  • Optimize speed and cost: When you need to analyze 24/7 video feeds or millions of images, Agent can train efficient models that you own, so the system meets your requirements for latency and cost.
  • Continually improve: When things change, like when your system needs to recognize a new part in a manufacturing process, Agent adapts the system. It trains new models based on the most recent data and swaps them in without having to rebuild everything.

When a vision system goes into production, your IT and security teams need to know what it's built from and where it runs. Everything Agent builds uses vetted, maintained building blocks with licenses that let you use them commercially. You choose where it runs, in our cloud or on your hardware. And anyone on your team can look inside to see how it works, change a setting, or export your models and data.

Everything you need to make computer vision useful

Production systems need more than a model. Agent can plug your vision system into industrial systems, so it triggers warning lights or stops machinery when an issue is detected. It logs events and schedules summary reports, so you can see what your vision system sees over time. It can trigger notifications, so you can react to detections in real time without having to assemble and manage those extra systems.

Let's say you're building a computer vision system to analyze millions of acres of crops. You run the system on a drone or an autonomous tractor that navigates the fields and captures images of every plant. The system needs to warn your team when it spots pests or disease. Agent connects the vision system to everything else it needs. It sets up email alerts when disease is found. It stores all the images and metadata in a secure event store. It summarizes trends in crop health across areas and emails you a weekly report.

Give your coding agents vision

Agent works with the coding agents you already use, like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor. Once you connect them through the Roboflow MCP server, they can hand vision tasks to Agent and use dozens of Roboflow tools to build production-ready vision applications, test them in the cloud, and deploy them on our infrastructure or your hardware.

For example, say you're using Cursor to build an inventory app for a warehouse. You can ask Cursor to count the pallets in each aisle from your security cameras, without leaving your editor. Cursor hands that work to Agent, which picks the models and builds the Workflow. Your app gets an API endpoint to call, so the vision system and the app around it come together in one place.

Bring AI to the physical world

Visual intelligence has the potential to solve some of the biggest challenges in the world. With Roboflow Agent, you have a computer vision expert who helps you go from idea to working solution, from selecting the right models to tuning performance to your needs and plugging the system into your business.
