Dental and intraoral vision with vision AI uses deep-learning models on intraoral photos, intraoral scans, radiographs, patient phone photos, and appliance and restoration imagery to detect and segment teeth, gingiva, restorations, and appliances, number teeth, score plaque, calculus, and gingival indicators, flag visible indicators of caries, cracks, wear, and soft-tissue changes for clinician review, verify aligner seating and attachments, inspect crowns and aligners at the lab, and verify instrument trays. Outputs are structured, reviewable annotations with the image behind every score, and they feed practice management, imaging, lab, and remote-monitoring systems or become features in a dental product. Roboflow provides the platform to train, deploy, and manage the models on your data; the clinical decisions remain with the clinician, and where a product makes clinical claims, its regulatory classification and clearance are the product owner's responsibility.
