• Read part numbers and orientation dots on polarized components (aluminum electrolytic, tantalum, polymer capacitors, LEDs, diodes) plus lot codes on chip resistors and capacitors (0201, 01005, 0402, 0603, 0805, 1206) and marks on RF modules and shielded components
• Read connector part numbers and pin-1 markings on fine-pitch board-to-board, board-to-cable, and RF connectors (SMA, MMCX, coax)

Counterfeit Detection, Part Verification, and Wrong-Component Catch:

• Detect AS6081 counterfeit-suspect components at incoming inspection and post-placement AOI: mismatched laser-mark geometry, refurbished-part indicators (blacktop paint, sanded tops, mismatched pin-1), lot-code sequence anomalies, and OCR-vs-package-family mismatch
• Catch part-number substitutions: wrong component in the right slot, right component in the wrong slot, and taped-reel mix-ups at post-placement AOI before reflow commits
• Support IPC-A-610 Class 1, 2, and 3 acceptability with per-class OCR confidence thresholds and produce IPC-1782 traceability tying every character to board, panel, feeder, reel, and vendor-lot
